“What if it won’t be ready on time?”

This is one of the most common questions we hear in export projects.

It is a perfectly valid concern, since the stakes are high: multiple languages, multiple markets, tight deadlines.

But the deadline is only a problem if the work starts too late.

Even today, translation is very often pushed to the very end of the process. But that is wrong. Then, once everything else is ready, the assumption is that it “just needs to be translated”. But by that point, there is no real room left to maneuver. The only solution left is to speed things up.

Of course we can provide more than one translator to work simultaneously on the same project by splitting the material up and shortening the deadline. Progress can be made – but it comes with compromises in consistency.

A single translator can typically be expected to translate 2,000 words per day. That is not a small amount, but in the case of international market entry, the volume to be translated is often many times greater.

The style is impaired. Communication can fall apart.

And all this because translation was started too late in the process.

Quality translation takes time, just like planning does. This is not about slowness, but about quality.

Localization is entirely plannable. And if it is integrated from the very beginning, deadlines do not become a risk. The process becomes predictable, and there is no need for compromise.

Hunnect commits itself to its deadlines. If we take on a project, we deliver on time – because we design the process from the outset to make that possible. That said, we certainly do not mind being contacted early. 🙂
